[Not Encouraging] Employment #s

Jobs Losses Months 2 RecoveryFrom Annaly Capital Management outlines the time length from job loss to job recovery and it’s sure not giving me the warm-n-fuzzies.  Rather a Rutgers study inidcates that a full jobs recovery would not take place until at least 2017.

While filing revisions are announced each week on jobless claims and the like, the Labor Department only does one massive revision in January of each year; only three months from now.  So while the media may be painting a pretty picture spouting *green shoots*, one should remember the severity of this chart and pay close attention come January.   The revisions could be startling and promote a larger January selloff than we’d normally anticipate.
